Define the product, the supplier and the questions you need answered before requesting a check.
Separate the product brief from the verification
Prepare the product specification: materials, dimensions, variants, packaging, target quantity and destination. Share the supplier’s actual details and the documents or offer you already received. State which points remain uncertain instead of asking for a general promise that everything is safe.
A supplier comparison, a live video visit, sample review and a pre-dispatch visual check answer different questions. Decide which evidence you need and at what stage. Record the agreed checks and the limits of what can be observed remotely.
Supplier research and visual checks do not automatically include laboratory tests, certification, customs clearance or legal advice. Confirm those responsibilities and specialist requirements separately. Keep approved specifications, quotations, sample feedback and decisions together so changes can be traced before an order proceeds.
